Prelude (Bridal party enters) Processional (Bride enters) Greeting and Words of Welcome Parental Honoring (Optional) Silent Memorial (Optional - for those who are no longer present) Invocation - Opening Prayer Declaration of Intent Presentation Questions and Responses/Affirmations of the Family and Guests Scripture and Sacred and/or Personal Readings (includes Old Testament, Responsorial Psalm, New Testament Readings and the Reading of the Gospel and/or personal readings) Homily (Sermon) Charge (Raffirmation of your commitment to one another) Hand Ceremony (Optional) Vows Rings/Symbols Ritual (i.e. Unity Candle, Mixing of Sands, Rose Ceremony, etc.) Wedding Prayer / Nuptual Prayer Holy Communion (Optional) Invitation to the Lord's Table (Optional) Words of Institution (Optional) The Lord's Prayer (Optional) Sharing of the Bread and Cup (Optional) Communion of the People (Optional) Blessing & Benediction Declaration of Marriage Recessional
Catholic weddings meet the requirements as prescribed in the Roman Catholic Rite of Marriage however, they are not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church as being valid due to the strict reqsuirements of the Roman Catholic Church
